Drama in Munyonyo: Weasel Hospitalized After Alleged Hit-and-Run by Partner Sandra Teta

Ugandan singer Douglas Mayanja, famously known as Weasel, is currently fighting for his life at Nsambya Hospitalfollowing a shocking incident that eyewitnesses claim was a deliberate hit-and-run by his long-time partner, Sandra Teta.

The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, unfolded at Shans Bar in Munyonyo — a hotspot frequented by Kampala’s social elite.

According to multiple eyewitnesses, Teta arrived at the bar visibly distressed, briefly dropped off the couple’s children with Weasel, and left — only to return moments later. What began as a heated verbal confrontation quickly spiraled out of control.

In a moment that stunned onlookers, Teta allegedly jumped into her white Mercedes Benz (UBH 148Y) and intentionally rammed into Weasel, knocking him unconscious. Horrified bystanders rushed the artist to hospital as Teta reportedly fled the scene.

Vehicle Impounded, Charges Filed

Police have since impounded the vehicle, which is being held at Kabalagala Police Station. Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed an active investigation.

“She has been charged with unlawful wounding of a person,” Owoyesigyire revealed. “Further investigations are underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Teta has not yet provided an official statement.

A History of Violence?

This isn’t the first time the couple’s relationship has come under public scrutiny. In past years, disturbing images surfaced online showing a visibly injured Sandra Teta, sparking widespread concern. At the time, she dismissed the claims, defending Weasel and calling it a misunderstanding.

However, insiders close to the couple paint a more troubling picture — a relationship marked by a cycle of violence and mutual physical confrontations.

As Weasel remains hospitalized, fans across Uganda and beyond are demanding answers. What really happened that night in Munyonyo? And how long has this toxic pattern been allowed to fester behind closed doors?

Social Media Reacts

The internet is ablaze with reactions — some in shock, others in outrage, and many demanding justice. The hashtag #JusticeForWeasel has begun trending, with supporters and critics alike weighing in on the ongoing saga.

For now, all eyes remain on the hospital and the courtroom as Uganda waits for the full story to unfold.
